Life Coaching Tatamagouche NS
Going to a life coach does NOT mean you are bad, sick or crazy...none of the above. It usually means you are intelligent for seeing the need to make changes in your life. And you are courageous for being willing to look at your life.
You might feel you are confused, selfish, messed up, or just wanting some improvement in your life. Welcome to the human realm! You are not terrible! When we look at your life together, what I ALWAYS see is a human filled with a potentially bright, strong mind. Underneath everything we fear or are sad or angry about, is always this capacity. This “mind” is not the same as computer brain, that helps us remember names, labels, how to talk and drive and work. It is something very different. I invite you to find it yourself, from your own personal experience, when you work with me. It is a very interesting and satisfying process! Most problems become workable when this mind is experienced.
I do not like to label people with names of illnesses or diagnoses. I only use these labels to remember a set of symptoms. Like right now, I have a “head cold,” a label. But I am not a head cold! I am a human with some symptoms, like cough, runny nose and tiredness. In fact, I think it can be destructive to label people. It becomes like a noose around the neck, hard to get out of.
When working with me, you can explore anything you want, in a safe and comfortable environment. I ask that you please talk to me if you are feeling irritated or unsure of anything that happens in our sessions. I will not say you are messed up or that I won't talk about your concerns. I will address what you bring up until you feel clear.
BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN THROUGH A LOT IN LIFE MYSELF, I AM BETTER ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND OFFER HELP TO OTHERS. MY HARDSHIPS HAVE BEEN MY INITIATION INTO WORKING IN THE FIELD OF EMOTIONAL/MENTAL HEALTH.

What my clients say
Having experienced a lot of trauma from my childhood, and now being adult, I still have patterns remaining that are causing me pain. She knows how to find these patterns and help me to unwind them….
I was so anxious I had to quit work. Gina knew what to do right away. Things worked well that she suggested.
Ms. Keegan has a very kind, open way about her…… I felt instantly that I could really talk to her.
Ms. Keegan has a very useful Anger Resolution Program. She helped my wife and myself not have to separate/divorce………. Highly recommend her.
I found Gina’s use of body-mind therapy helped myself and my wife and teenage daughter, very much. She practices “somatic therapy”. She said it was useful for most people because of nervous system disregulation that so many people experience today. …………. Excellent work!
Gina has a lot of insight. ….She is very experienced.
Her (Gina”s) way of teaching couples to communicate completely transformed our marriage in a short time. We were actually thinking of separation when we first saw Gina. Then we solved our issues due to her teaching us couples’ communication skills…. And did not have to go through divorce.
Ms. Keegan was very effective in teaching mindfulness meditation. I felt some sense of calmness and that I was ok in the meditation experience. … Then she added some basic questions about my thinking process that helped to bring more clear thinking. .. I relaxed some, and then felt better.
The Communication Skills class was really great! It taught me to use my feelings, even uncomfortable ones, like anger and fear, as helpful “messengers of change,” rather than as enemies. So, what I learned is that …….one can transform all “feelings energy” into something positive with these skills.
Ms. Keegan practiced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with me, as well as mindfulness meditation. The two together really improved my depression and anxiety.
